Activity improves on ZSE in Tuesday’s session, as only Old Mutual trade for Insurers

Harare, Activity on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) improved in Tuesday’s session on the back of decent buying in the blue chip category.
Turnover increased to close at $2.9mln from $1.7mln in the previous session. Decent trade values were posted in Delta, Econet and Seedco.
The All Share Index advanced a marginal 0.10 points while the Top 10 Index added a mere 0.04 points. The Mining Index was flat with no activity in the subsector.
The Industrial Index added 0.34 points on the back of gains in CBZH, Delta, OKzim and Seedco.
Meikles put on $0.0100 to close at $0.3150, SEEDCO (SEED.zw) added $0.0098 to $2.0098 while DELTA (DLTA.zw) increased by $0.0050 to settle at $1.6050. CBZ (CBZ.zw) shifted up $0.0048 to close at $0.1000 and AXIA (AXIA.zw) was up by $0.0020 to end at $0.1820.
Trading in the negative; SIMBISA (SIMB.zw) shed 0.0100 to close at $0.4400; NATIONAL FOODS (NTFD.zw) eased $0.0023 to end at $6.1900, FBC HOLDINGS (FBC.zw) slipped $0.0005 to $0.2000. PROPLASTICS (PROL.zw) closed at $0.0758 following a $0.0002 loss.
Insurance Monitor
For insurance companies only Old Mutual traded, gaining 0.79% to close at 5.50 cents. Other companies ZHL, Fidelity, FMHL and Nicozdiamond did not trade.
