ZSE closes week positive ahead of workers day holiday

HARARE, The last trading day for April closed on the front foot with the All Share Index adding 1.45 points on the back of widespread gains across the bourse. Ahead of the Workers Day holiday tomorrow, Old Mutual was the only insurer to trade. The group picked up $0.0147 to settle at $5.7341. Other insurers were inactive.

The Industrial Index edged up by 1.48 points and the Top Ten Index closed 0.55 points firmer. Gains in RioZim left the Mining Index 0.91 points stronger.

Turnover was decent at $1.9 million with good trade values being recorded in Hippo, Proplastics and SeedCo.

British American Tobacco traded $0.9578 higher at $20.0000, CAFCA recovered $0.0500 to trade at $0.6000, Innscor moved up $0.0218 to close at $1.0718 and Riozim was $0.0097 firmer at $1.2197 and Simbisa gained $0.0050 to $0.4600.

Hippo came off $0.0150 to trade at $1.6641, Econet dropped a further $0.0023 to settle at $0.8975 and Willdale lost $0.0001 to close at $0.0050.
