Zimpost in partnership with Nicozdiamond unveils Post Insurance with exciting promotion

HARARE, Postal services giant, Zimpost in partnership with short term insurer Nicozdiamond has unveiled an enhanced partnership which saw the birth of a new insurance business, Post Insurance, underwritten by Nicoz.
Managing director Sifundo Moyo at an event to unveil the new brand as well as a promotion in which 9 cars will be won said Zimpost has moved from only issuing insurance cover notes on commission basis to offering own products.
“The original agreement entailed Zimposts issuing insurance cover notes on behalf of Nicozdiamond. However, on 1 March 2018, the relationship was enhanced by signing of another agreement between the two parties which elevated the partnership and culminated in the formation the Post Insurance brand,” he said.
He said Post Insurance will immediately be available in at least 210 connected post offices countrywide and will continue to spread.
Moyo said the relationship is beneficial to Zimbabwe since Zimpost has capacity to reach most parts of the country through its branch network.
General Manager Operations and Marketing Joel Katsande said the Post Insurance will unveil a number of products albeit on a 2 phased approach.
As a result, Post Insurance will initially offer motor insurance service that will cater for both Thirdy Party and Comprehensive Insurance covers. Other covers in agriculture, home, legal, travel and legal guard cover will be unveiled before year end, according to NicozDiamond General Manager Business Development Gugulethu Ngwenya.
She added that insurance claims will also be channeled through Zimpost outlets bringing convenience and relief to clients who have had to travel long distances.
Meanwhile, the Post Insurance Promotion will run from 22 May 2018 to 30 April 2019. The promotion is targeted at all customers purchasing motor vehicle insurance from Post Insurance counters in Zimpost outlets.
“After buying a Pot Insurance cover note a customer stands a chance to win one of the numerous branded sales promotional materials that will be available at the outlets,” said Katsande.
He added that after purchasing insurance at a Post Insurance cover each customer will immediately be given a hance to spin an electronic wheel for an instant prize. “Customers will also get an automatic entry into the termly draw where they will stand a chance to will one of the C Class Mercedes Benz up for the grabs,” he said.
Three vehicles per term will be won during the course of the promotion and in total they are nine vehicles.
Nicoz Diamond managing director Grace Muradzikwa noted that the partnership with Zimpost evolved around 2002 and this enhanced partnership is expected to create more value between the two entities.
She said with Zimpost able to offer wide range of products that will suffocate illegal insurance touting at most Zimpost offices.
