ZHL and Old Mutual trade for insurers as turnover increases to $2.4 mln

Trading on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) improved as investors continued to lock funds mostly in the blue chip category.
Turnover edged up to close at $2.4m from $1.3m yesterday. Decent trades were recorded in Delta and Seedco. The All Share Index and the Top 10 Index retreated 0.59 points and 0.65 points respectively.
The Industrial Index followed suit with a drop of 1.81 points. The Mining Index was marginally up 0.16 points on the back of gains in Bindura.
ECONET (ECO.zw) led the losers with a $0.0396 loss to close at $0.8227, MEIKLES (MEIK.zw) dropped $0.0170 to $0.3000 while BARCLAYS (BARC.zw) was $0.0030 weaker at $0.0520. ZIMRE HOLDINGS LIMITED (ZIMR.zw) came off $0.0010 to trade at $0.0299 and DAIRIBOARD HOLDINGS (DZL.zw) inched down $0.0005 to close at $0.1100.
However, OLD MUTUAL (OML.zw) rose by $0.0213 to end at $4.9475, SIMBISA (SIM.zw) added $0.0100 to close at $0.4500 whilst DELTA (DLTA.zw) advanced by $0.0093 to settle at $1.5752. ZIMPLOW (ZIMW.zw) was up $0.0028 to trade at $0.0810, UNIFREIGHT (UNIF.zw) put on $0.0003 to $.0145 while BINDURA (BIND.zw) inched up $0.0002 to close at $0.0452.
Insurance Monitor
Zimre Holdings lost 3.24% to trade at $0.0299. Old Mutual rose 0.43% to trade at $4.94. There was no activity on Fidelity Life Assurance, Nicozdiamond and First Mutual Holdings shares.
