Moonlight Funeral Assurance participated in today’s national clean-up campaign where the company committed to continuously clean, fix and conserve the environment that it is operating within.

Noway Museba, the company’s Public Relations Officer said besides the clean-up, the company partnered other companies operating within to fix a road as part of corporate social responsibility.

“Our cleanup campaign was there to support the national cleanup campaign which was declared by the President of the country and as Moonlight we saw it fit to support a noble cause,” she said.

She added that the company also realized the need to clean, fix and conserve the environment that it is operating in.

“Beside the cleanup, there are guys who are working on the road, as part of other initiatives under the corporate social responsibility,” she noted.

President Mnangagwa in 2018 declared the first Friday of each calendar month, the National Environment Cleaning Day, as government moves to ensure the country has sustainable environment management and waste disposal systems.

Museba said for this year, it is the first time the company has participated, but has done so in previous ones through its branch network countrywide which is now over 43 branches.

“As Moonlight, we took the initiative to do the campaign, but we do not live in isolation as a company and we partnered Shift Tyres, Elite Petroleum and Simbisa Brands to make the day a success,” she said.

Museba highlighted that post Covid era, business has come back a bit to normalizing, with the claims ratio now on the lower side compared to the Covid period.
